New construction of a production plant

Due to the rapid growth in turnover of Flottweg SE, the construction of a further plant (Plant 2) had become necessary. With an investment volume of more than € 50 million, the new assembly plant with integrated service and repair area, logistics handling with a manual pallet rack (6,300 storage spaces) and an office building were built on an area of 55,000 m² within two years. The move-in and commissioning of the new Plant 2 took place in 2021.

The aim of the project was to improve floor space arrangements and material flow with Plant 2, thus doubling production capacity. Over a period of 1.5 years, PROTEMA was responsible for the rough and detailed planning and supported the planning and implementation of the plant structure planning for machine assembly and plant construction with the associated logistics trades and the interface support to the architectural and construction planning.
